Yes! Our crate doors normally open from right to left. However, if you request it, we can switch the direction it opens. Contact us with your specific needs and we’ll customize your crate to suit you and your dog.
The aluminum skins we use to build our crates are specifically designed for our listed crate sizes. As a result, we are unable to make custom sizes. We have a list of awesome people who make custom sized dog crates/kennels. Reach out to us and we’d be happy to share their contact information.
The stationary crate can become airline compliant with the IATA kit, which can be found on our Accessories page. Each airline has specific requirements for flying with pet cargo; we highly recommend contacting your chosen airline in advance.
We worked with the Center for Pet Safety when designing the newest version of our stationary crate. Our stationary crates have been crash tested and will receive their official report from the Center for Pet Safety in early 2021.

He is more relaxed in the den like atmosphere of this crate and I am more relaxed knowing he won't escape or injure himself. I was worried about the interior frame being a place for him to chew. But we are over a month in and he hasn't damaged anything on the crate. The first crate we ordered was damaged during shipping. The company had a wonderful small business feel and its customer service was excellent when we called about the damage. We had ordered the XL and realized it was way too big when it arrived. "I have a 20 lb Scottish Terrier puppy that's 8 month old. All he wants to do is destroy everything. He literally chewed through the metal rung of a regular crate, somehow stripped out the pan even though it was locked, and walked around the room with the crate on his back. With this new crate, I can finally go to work and not have to worry about my puppy destroying my house. This was worth every dollar of the purchase. It is excellent quality and I expect to use it for years. Rock solid build quality. The door latch and 2 additional latches are extremely secure. Highly recommend!"

"I recently adopted a dog that struggles with pretty bad separation anxiety. She escaped out of a regular wire cage as soon as we got her, and her foster mom said she also escaped several times at her house before we got her. She scratched, cried, and chewed at the bars and we were afraid she would really hurt herself. We got our dog into training, which I'm sure helped a lot, but they and our vet recommended a separation anxiety crate like this to help her when she came home. We got the separation anxiety crate in blue, it's a beautiful color. It came to our house fully assembled. It's very well made and really worth the price we paid. It's also easy to clean and vacuum out the dog hair. Our dog came back from training and went from out of control, crying, scratching, and frantically trying to escape out of a wire crate to being content in her Rock Creek Crate. She only whines a little bit and then settles back down. I think she really feels safe and content in there. We were also able to mount a mini camera with a window mount lined up with one of the holes to be able to check on her and talk to her if need be when we are gone. I would highly recommend!"
